Science Fiction-Like Tractors Debut at Fuxi Farm

Farming in China is entering a new era. Fuxi Farm’s star attraction is its fleet of Honghu intelligent tractors, including the colossal, efficient, driverless T200. With no cabin and a powerful ability to work 24/7, these robots handle soil preparation, planting, and harvesting with precision. With smaller variants like the T70, the squad works together to maximize efficiency and manage hundreds of acres by just a handful of operators remotely controlling the machines via advanced monitoring systems.
At the core of Fuxi Farm is the Fuxi System, a sophisticated AI-driven command center developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This “digital brain” integrates real-time data on soil, weather, and crops, making intelligent decisions such as when to irrigate or apply pest control. With a single command, the system deploys unmanned tractors to execute tasks with surgical precision—transforming farming into a fully automated, data-driven process.

Beijing Showcases Smart Agriculture: 110+ Intelligent Machines on Display
On September 24, Beijing’s Pinggu District hosted the “Beijing Smart Agricultural Machinery Exchange Event”, part of the China Farmers’ Harvest Festival. Over 40 leading equipment companies presented more than 110 sets of intelligent agricultural machinery, introducing eight integrated mechanized intelligence models for vegetable production. The event focused on Beijing’s agricultural needs, highlighting the Intelligent Agricultural Machinery Equipment Exchange Meeting, where enterprises and the Jingwa Agricultural Technology Innovation Center signed agreements to build mechanisms for regular collaboration and demonstration.

Landmark Policy’s All Set: China’s 15th Five-Year Agricultural and Rural Development Plan (2026–2030)
Guided by innovation, sustainability, and urban–rural integration, the plan builds on major achievements from the previous period and addresses challenges including climate change, resource constraints, and rural inequality. Grain security is a priority, with 4 billion mu of high-standard farmland under construction and advanced crop varieties cultivated nationwide. Technological innovation is also highlighted, with 1,000 smart farms and digital agriculture centers planned. In the green transformation, the Chinese central government wants to reduce fertilizer and pesticide use while improving waste utilization and soil protection. By 2030, it aims to achieve breakthroughs in agricultural modernization, laying the foundation for its rural revitalization by 2035. [1] [2]

When “Virtual Farmland” Meets “Steel Farmers”: China’s Smart Agriculture Revolution
This autumn, Heilongjiang’s Jian Sanjiang Farm unveiled a breathtaking future of agriculture: Digital twins + robotics transforming fields into intelligent production systems. Real-time crop maturity maps guide autonomous robots to plant, monitor, and harvest with unprecedented precision. The systems have boosted yields by 18% while cutting labor costs by 80%. Taking protected vegetable and fruit cultivation as an example, digital twin–driven robotic management has improved strawberry quality rates from 65% to 85%, increasing income by ~¥12,000 per mu. Across China, 300 counties now operate such “dual engine” farms, with trials showing 15–20% yield increases and 25% reduction in agrochemical use. [1]
